A famous middle eastern spice mix is my Za;atar re A famous middle eastern spice mix is my Za;atar recipe! This is an authentic spice rub and taste extrmetly good with meat and vegetables. In fact I even use it in my salads. But did you know there are numerous health benefits when you use Za'atar. The za’atar plant, Syrian oregano, has plenty of health benefits. Syrian oregano is filled with vitamin C, which is known to strengthen the immune system. You can also add honey to the tea and drink it when you have a cough since it has antibacterial properties that kill fungus. Za’atar is generally an excellent source of vitamins and minerals. It has plenty of manganese, vitamin K and vitamin E that are beneficial to your body. Some people even believe that it will help keep your brain alert.
