Kale juice- the perfect morning drink

30 minutes

super easy

5/ 8 oz cups

Juicing has been a popular health trend since it is a refreshing way to drink your vegetables. Green juice, in particular, is delicious and has many fruits and vegetables, including kale, celery, cucumbers, apples, lettuce, parsley, ginger, and lemon. These ingredients have unique health benefits that come together to make one super kale juice!

I was juicing a lot. I had a two-step process to extract the juice. The juicer would first finely grind the vegetables into a pulp. Then, the hydraulic press would create a silky smooth liquid.

I have tried many combinations of fruits, vegetables, and various ingredients, but this is always the green juice recipe I return to. When I have a glass of this green juice in the morning, it always makes me feel rejuvenated. My body greatly appreciates it, and yours will be too!

Is Kale Juice Good For You?

Drinking green juice is very good for you since you can get your daily recommended intake of nutrients within one drink. Green juice has all the nutritional benefits of each fruit and vegetable you add to the juice. Drinking green juice makes it easy for you to consume all of those healthy ingredients without needing to eat tons of salads.

Does Kale Juice Help You Lose Weight?

Green juice will keep you full longer while eating whole fruits and vegetables. This makes it an excellent low-calorie alternative to unhealthy carbonated drinks or juices with lots of added sugars. The ingredients in green juice can also help you speed up your metabolism, which will help your body burn more calories.

What Juicer Should I Use?

I like to use a pure juicer since it preserves most nutrients and enzymes often discarded in other juicers, but you can essentially use any juicer. You can even make green juice in a blender. If you use a blender, you would just need to cut the vegetables even smaller and add some water to the blender. Then, strain the juice before you bottle it, so it does not have too many thick fibers.

Juicing vs. Blending

The different benefits of both juicing and blending make them both excellent choices. When you juice fruits and vegetables, the remaining juice is very nutrient-dense. It does not need sugar or additional ingredients that may make it unhealthy. On the other hand, juicing does not have as much fiber as blending since it grinds all fruits and vegetables and discards the pulp. Blending includes all of the pup and fiber, but it needs other ingredients that tend to be sugary or high in calories to turn it into a smoothie. Juicing is eating a more pure form of vegetables than blending.

What Vegetables Should I Use to Make Kale Juice?

There is no rule on what kind of vegetables to use, but the best way to come up with your favorite juice combination is to balance the flavors. For example, adding an apple and fennel will add a little sweetness to the juice if you don’t like the green taste of juiced vegetables. You can also add lemons and limes to prevent the juice from being too sweet. Cucumbers are also an excellent addition since they have high water content and a refreshing taste.

How to Use Leftover Pulp?
The leftover pulp can simply be thrown away since it is unnecessary to make the juice, but there are also other creative ways to reuse it. For example, you can add it to a composter, use it for a soup, blend it in a smoothie, make a fruit tea, or bake it into bread or muffins. There are many ways to use the leftover fibers of fruits and vegetables, so if you have the time, find a way to use them in something else.

How to Store Homemade Juice?
Since homemade juice is made from fresh ingredients and has no preservatives, you should drink it immediately. However, if you have leftover juice, you can store it in a small, individual-sized glass to keep it fresh longer. The juice will remain freshest if consumed within 3 days.
